Sobra – village on the Island of Mljet

Sobra is a small bay on Mljet island that is used as a fishing harbor for nearby Babino Polje, the village is also one of the Mljet ports. This is the place where ferries from Dubrovnik and Prapratno arrive daily. (check ferry timetables). In the summer season, a fast ferry from Split also arrives here. The village is well connected by a regular bus line with other places on the island. Featuring a couple of restaurants as well as a handy food shop this bay also houses Mjet’s harbor authorities.

Although the villages have only about 80 permanent inhabitants, this is the place where one can easily find a room or b&b to spend a few days or just overnight.
