Author’s statement: Mljet is the lost island at the open sea between Dubrovnik, Pelješac, and Lastovo. Laid parallel with Pelješac, they make the Mljet channel. In the embrace of green land and blue sea, the big and small lake, the western part of the land and sea of this beautiful Croatian treasure has been declared as Croatia’s first national park. We will explore its forests, fascinating underwater world with its largest coral reef in the Mediterranean, and meet the local people. We will tell you the story of Odysseus and his nymph, the shipwreck of St. Paul so as the history of the island Mljet, its traditions and customs.
